Whilst I was in Athens, I took the Metro from Metaxourghio to Evangelismos (Line 2) in search of what was described to me as a sculpture of a runner ‘made of glass’ created by Costas Varotsos, next to the Hilton Hotel.

As I neared the huge crescent shaped building I was confronted by this enormous 12 metre tall (almost 30 foot) sculpture made entirely from panes of glass and steel. It was frighteningly beautiful as the sharp edges of the glass glistened in the mid-day sun.

I used a panning effect with my camera in photo 1, to give the added illusion of Dromeas running…

Blogging 101: Say Hello To The Neighbours

Today’s assignment: follow five new topics in the Reader and five new blogs. I didn’t have a clue what the Reader was, and when I finally figured it out, there wasn’t much choice. It appears the same blogs are on the Reader day in, day out. The five topics that interest are: • Travel • Photography • Blogging • Architecture • Art I enjoy reading other people’s blogs for inspiration, but more importantly for clues as to how to set up my own blog. I’m on a huge learning curve at the moment and as I grow more confident with my blogging skills I will follow 5 new bloggers.
